Laid Back

When it comes to sacrificing for fashion, we appreciate the allure of a strapless gown and a stilleto as much as the next girl. Sometimes it's worth pinching zippers and aching feet. As the wise Michael Kors said on Project Runway, "You don't want people to look at you and say, 'Wow she looks comfortable!'" But sometimes even Fash Mashers just wanna lay low in no-fuss fashion!

Xoxo,
The Fash Mash

Diane: Why am I strolling in the forest you ask?  Well it was a long weekend and I wore this ensemble while walking around the most gorgeous retreat in Kanchanaburi called Mom Chailai Forest Retreat. A no fuss dress and simple jewellery are my go to look for some R&R.

Diane: I'm wearing a no brand denim dress from my mom's closet, belt from H&M, shoes are just 200 baht from the streets somewhere in Bangkok, Rings from a little shop in front of Soi Convent on Silom road

Sumati: It was Sunday Funday and I was going to check out a vintage-themed flea market, so I decided to wear this bright dress to stand out from the hipsters. Maxis are the easiest choice when you don't feel like putting together an outfit; just throw on a bunch of costume jewelry for a laid-back look that's still polished.

Sumati: I'm wearing an unbranded maxi dress purchased from Siam Square, sandals from Living Dolls, bag by Secret Weapon, and a bunch of jewelry found in my accessories box.

Tara: I wore this laid back look for grabbing coffee just down the street. Super comfy but with something a little special in the details. A contrast between trends like sporty socks with rhinestone sandals, or unexpected bright lips to add some edge.

Tara: I'm wearing a raglan tee from Asos, leather cap and socks from American Apparel and Pomelo leather shorts.
