Fashion Rules are for Fools: Part III

Mountaintop Chic

I'll take any chance I get to peel away from this jam packed schedule and go on a mini vacay. So I did! This time was to the mountains in Khao Yai.

I was probably the most dressed up person at dinner that night (and the only one wearing heels), but hey sometime you just gotta feel good for yourself!  I worked this Dress form Laminim, Belt from Dress Bistro, Shoes from H&M, and Earrings from Siam Square, Necklace from Terminal21.

Fashion Rules are for Fools: Part II

Camo Haute Coup-ture

Sumati: The army trend is something I've always been at war with (har, har). I do love the look of military-inspired jackets and army-green trousers, but camo is something that can go horribly wrong if not worn correctly.

For some reason, I associate this print with scrubby teenage boys who love wearing camo cargo shorts that are too baggy. Not to mention that Thailand is always going through one military coup or another, so camo takes on a different meaning here.

However, when I dug up this pair from Urban Outfitters (I purchased it on a whim in college), I decided to take it up a notch from scrubby to stylish. For women, I think heels and camo pants are always a must so I paired it with these studded shoes from Viera by Ragazze and flowy top from Roxy.

Fashion Rules are for Fools: Part I

Sequins + Denim

Tara: Daytime sequins have been popping up in all kinds of funky places: coating ripped jeans, covering basketball jerseys and embellishing vintage tees. And... it's pretty cool. Gotta love a trend that breaks the rules. To make it my own, I wore sequins in place of a normal tee, for an easy weekend outfit.

I wore this full on thrifted outfit to a brunch date with the my fellow Fash Mashers. Sequin top from Penney On Her Vintage, vintage Dooney & Bourke leather purse, denim shorts from Chatuchak and lace-up ballet flats from J.Crew via Ebay.
